As a Christian I wanted to share with you how I pay for my online business.
There are some basic principles about money that you should know as a Christian.
I’m using a famous passage from the Bible about what to do with our money. It comes from Malachi 3:8-11
“Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, ‘How do we rob you?’ In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse- the whole nation of you- because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit…”
This again is a famous verse that many preachers use to get people to give them their money.
But I want to focus on an aspect that I think is missing from most people’s understanding of this verse.
Lets just say that you had 10 seeds of wheat from this year’s harvest. You give 1 seed as your tithe. You give another seed as your offering. You now have 8 seeds left.
What do you do with those 8 seeds?
Do you eat all of them? If you do you won’t have any seeds to plant for next years harvest!
If you look at the verse from Malachi where do the blessings fall on? They’re on crops that are already planted!
God is saying that since you gave your first 2 seeds in tithes & offering I will pour out a blessing on your planted seeds that you wouldn’t even imagine!
The sad thing is most people don’t plant their seeds they eat them.
Okay….so enough talk about seeds. We aren’t farmers anymore anyways…
How will this work as you start your home based business?
Lets say in your next paycheck you get paid $1000.
- Give $100 to your local church, missionary, etc
- Give $100 as on offering to charity, missionary, church, etc
- Put $100 is savings to invest into your business.
You now have at least 2-3 months worth of capital to start your internet business.
- $10 for a Domain Name
- $10 for Hosting with Host Gator a month
- $19 for an Aweber Autoresponer a month
So for your first month it will only cost you $39.
The second month will be $29
The third month will also be $29.
That’s only $97!
You now have a seed planted that can grow and make you more money. Instead of just working for your money. Now your money is working for you!
This is the exact system that I use every month to pay for my online businesses.
