Affiliate Marketing is my preferred way to start off when you are trying to start a home based web business.
The reason is because you can learn how to market on the inter webs without having to make a huge amount of financial investments.
Affiliate Marketing is basically like the old school Sales Based Commissions just via the internet.
You sign up as an affiliate with different companies, or info products, etc.
Then they give you a link to their product and when someone visits their site through your link and buys something you get a percentage of the price they paid. And that commission can be anywhere from 6% to 60% and sometimes even more depending on the vendor.
Here are the companies, or networks, where I actively make money as an affiliate:
- Amazon- Any products Amazon sells you can get an affiliate commission for. It’s a small commission but a commission non-the-less.
- CJ.com- I prefer to use Commission Junction to market physical products like shoes, boots, etc. They have hundreds of companies you can sign up as an affiliate with and Commission Junction pays you when you have reached a set amount like $100.
- ClickBank.com- ClickBank is the place to find information products to market and usually has the highest commissions, i.e. 50% or more.
Those links are directly to the page where you can apply to be an affiliate, or associate as Amazon calls you.
