We joined a Network Marketing Internet Business. Also known as a MLM or Multi Level Marketing company.

You know…those rascal Pyramid schemes…..yes we do those.

And here’s why.

First of all, join a good company with a good history, blah blah blah. Don’t start selling Snake Oil! Unless of course there’s a hungry market for Snake Oil; then sell away…haha

Our first MLM company was a company called Dr.Organics. It was a great product but run by a couple of losers who bankrupted the company and screwed hundreds of people overnight.

When we first joined the company we did the usual talk to your friends and family, what they call your warm list, or something like that. And family joined the “Business Opportunity” and then we got that email “We bankrupt the company and tomorrow won’t be a company anymore….”

Of course we felt horrible because we got our family to join a horrible company.

So….

I learned a different way to market a Network Marketing Internet Business where you don’t have to beg your friends or family and if for some reason your company goes bankrupt and closes overnight you won’t be out of business.

We created a Christian MLM System.

Here’s how it works:

Have you ever heard the phrase “the ones who really got rich during the Gold Rush were the ones selling shovels.”

That’s what you do.

Create a system that markets any MLM anywhere in the world and drive traffic to that offer. Basically you are selling a shovel.

And this system will help anyone in any MLM company because you’re teaching them marketing & leadership not how to sell someone some special miracle juice or whatever.

So here’s the Steps to follow to create a successful Network Marketin Business:

Step 1- Learn a marketing system, i.e. our Home Business Advertising System.

Step 2- Create a landing page where you offer that Advertising System to someone in exchange for an email address or maybe a small amount of money like $7 or $19.

Step 3- By doing step 1 & 2 you are branding yourself as a leader who has given a whole lot of value.

Step 4- People want to join your downline because you are awesome!

And when people join your downline and begin to implement your system they will also sign people up in their downline and VOILA you just created a passive income because a pyramid scheme MLM means you get paid a little from each person your downline signs up.

You’re downline implements your system and you get paid for it by your downline doing your work.

This is why we added the Network Marketing Internet Business to our Home Based Business. It will create Multiple Streams of Income.

That is a fancy way of saying we help small businesses get their website & their services to the first page of Google.

To be honest, if you just followed the posts on this site and actually did the action points that I give you, you will know way more than a normal local business owner knows about how to get their website ranked in the search engines.

Things like having the right meta titles, meta description and getting Backlinks to your site is like speaking a foreign language to them.

And….

Unfortunately their are web design companies charging thousands of dollars to create websites for these local businesses and the business owners just assume “if you build it they will come” and it’s just not true!

My wife and I came to know this because we began to learn ways to get our affiliate sites & web 2.0 sites ranking high in the search engines and when people heard what we were doing they would ask us to look at their site.

When we looked at their sites, none of them were doing the simple things to rank their sites right.

So we began to help them by doing simple things to rank their sites higher.

And it works!

The reason is works is because it is much easier to rank high for a keyword like “Architect in Albuquerque” than for “home based business” or “dog training” or whatever.

With very little competition you can do Article Marketing, Web 2.0 Marketing & Video Marketing and completely dominate page 1 of Google.

So in 2011 (and most likely every other year) Local Business Marketing is the best business model you can do in your home based business.

I believe business at its very core is serving people who have a problem and local businesses have a huge problem, a huge need! And they need someone to help them.

That person could be you.

For us, this is always step 2 for a home based business. Step one would be following the Challenge Strategy to test a market.

You see, when I started this internet marketing thing I already had a product that I thought would sell really well. So I bought BeBiz and started trying to market the thing! Only to find out that it isn’t that hot of a market. By Hot Market I mean people aren’t going to Google with their credit cards already out to be able to buy something to solve their problem.

So I spent months and months developing my product and a couple years now trying to figure out how to market the thing.

To avoid these months and months of hard work without that much payout I would have:

• first found a Micro Niche
• built a site around that micro niche that promoted some sort of affiliate product
• Used Our Home Business Advertising System to Drive Traffic to that Site
• tracked the ratio of visitors to buyers
• If I have a .5% ratio or 1 person bought from 200 visitors  I will move on to creating a product.  If I have had 200 visitors and no one has bought I will change my call to action on the page to see if I can get a .5% conversion

Once I have found a buying market, or people who are actually ready to buy something in that market from my website, I will then move on to creating a product.

The nice thing about creating & selling your own product is you get to keep 100% of the profit unless of course you partner with Joint Venture partners or affiliates to promote your product.  Then you have to pay them a percentage but it is much nicer to have 5,10, 15 or more people promoting your product for you!  You will make a whole lot more sales that way!

So…this series is all about how to create your own product and the programs I follow to help me in this scenario.

Just kidding with the slapping the kids part but the FTC can ruin your life and having just a few pages on your site that can save you from them is worth the measly $47 you would pay to get these swipe files and a couple hundred other pages that will teach you how to make money via the inter webs

Liz Tomey (Creator of this Product) wanted to help one of her neighbors who was just recently divorced replace her income through Affiliate Marketing.
